It would be easy enough for Favreau to come through this one clean.  The fan boys already bombed this one, but they still associate it more with Kennedy's SW than with him.  He's someone they want to believe in but it probably won't help this one in particular.  People have already made up their minds.

Unfortunately, marketing leaned too hard into the gimmick and they just don't last.  He'll probably need a new personal flagship.  That said, yes I can set aside the past, assuming it doesn't continue in the present.

Kennedy's departure is his back door.  What he does with it is entirely up to him, and will be without my intervention.  You have my word.

As well you have it that I didn't burn this one, Kennedy did.  Probably because it wasn't hers.  She's very territorial, and his popularity was a threat and reminder of her failure.

Therein you have the option of leaking exactly that, to recover his name.  I'm guessing it was her idea to scrap parts from season three into Boba Fett for example, thus trashing them both.  She is no fool.

Though she seemed to do better manipulating her own allies, than her enemies.  Hollywood may be a dirty game, but it's only worth it if it sells.  Personally I think we can do better, by being better.

The fans smell the underhanded games ... they may not be able to put their finger on it, but they can sense it intruding on these symbols of their own childhood innocence, respond to it intuitively, and reflexively.
