Also Zain needs to be uniquely interesting somehow and I have no idea how yet. Just that he needs to stand out from the archetype or it's been overplayed.
And then there's all the individual commanders (who answer the musical calla and return), his direct interaction group throughout.
As well as the same for the Horizon Court, so far a back drop slosh of courtiers and rich beggars, but to define each and what they secretly may want out of these times of transition.
The background game which may not even play out on screen, but still be present in that character. In that one sentence they may say and thus how it's worded.
I suspect a lot more would come out in the short series, but I want a beginning and an end, with any more tales to be told of other aspects entirely, surrounding the same events. That's where the game would be, as opposed to the ones that just follow the screen plot events.
But not as lazy as 'these were the people fighting in the background, doing some other parallel thing'. It would have to be it's own thing and concise. To enrich that universe, as opposed to sucking from it.
So ... that's a lot of brainstorm.
